    Just got my bill for my detroit truetrac install. Labor was $475. A lot more then I've seen some people say they paid. Total money invested would be over $1000 including everything. Did I just get raped? I think I should have just bought a locking axle for that price

    Yes. Gear install shouldnt be more than 250$ Even in areas around here where we get raped on labour at 110$ /hour

    Edit: Exception would be race setup.. I'd pay more for that since they take their time on a vehicle thats going to be going 200km/h and has 600+hp.

    I figured to spend about 300 plus parts. They also had my truck for 2 days

    Out here, its always best to estimate 500 bucks per axel. The price you paid sounds about right to me.

    Ok from some of the threads I've read I thought it was a little high, but it's ok, cause I love it haha

    Bilsteins, OME 881's, 3-leaf AAL, Detroit TruTrac, Tundra brake swap, Michelin LTX AT2, Tranny skidplate, TC skidplate, CBI rear bumper, TG sliders, UltraGauge, PowerTank, Reverse Camera
    I paid about $680 for all parts plus labor. I did some of the work, though, by removing the diff from the truck first, and just dropping off the diff at the shop in the morning, and picked it up about 2 hours later.
