    Well..

    ruptured bottle..bad man...missile in the cab..haha

not to mention..you have to have the tank vertical or no less then 45˚ to function anyways correctly. Where the hell you gonna put a tank like that? no way will it fit in the cab that way.

PLUS..id hate running CO2 lines all over from inside the cab. Screw that. Just keep it all outside.

Well a small 20oz tank would easily mount behind the bench seat. Probably would even fit in the stock Jack holder thing. It wouldn't have anywhere to go or really get the momentum to do anything. Only downside I could see it temperature...

Logan runs with his nitrogen bottle mounted upright in the backseat. Granted nitrogen is a little different than CO2 but you are still talking a container carrying 1500+ psi.

Leaking acetaline bottle and when he went to roll down the window it ignited. Little bit different from CO2 since CO2 is not flammable. Though you may see a similar end result I imagine the combustion of the acetaline will have done far more damage than a bottle of CO2. Luckily for the guy with an FJ, the bottle was further away from him than it will be in a truck.

    this is from powertank

The Power TankTM uses liquid CO2 gas which is an inert, non-toxic, non-corrosive, non-flammable gas. Our aluminum tanks are D.O.T. (Dept. of Transportation) approved. CO2 goes through a phase change from liquid to vapor as it releases its energy. This evaporative process slows the pressure release rate meaning that a CO2 tank will not become a high speed rocket like a scuba tank would in the rare event of a valve decapitation. A Power Tank is as safe as a CO2 fire extinguisher.

that photo has nothing to do with a CO2 tank desinged for CO2

Uh yeah Ben, no relation at all to CO2. The problem with CO2 is that it is highly dependent on temperature. So a bottle could potentially blow the valve because the truck heated up to much. Even then it wouldn't be that dangerous. They had to be careful with the tanks in paintball because when unscrewing them from the marker they actually unscrewed the valve and the tank shot off into some kids head.

and most if not all regulators made for the bigger tanks have blow off valves or blow off disks.

Yea still wouldn't want a tank in the cab. Espcially a single cab..and even more not under or behind me in anyway. Getting in a wreck would not be fun.

I remember people telling me to store my tank in my cab until I had a mount so that people wouldn't steal it. In the middle of New Mexico Summer... Haha

You guys do realize that CO2 tanks are inside every bar and restaurant, right? The temperature is the most dangerous thing and most paintball tanks have the nice safety features that blow before the tank does. It will just release the co2 and I would have to repair it.

Chances are that if the wreck gets to the small CO2 container properly secured in the middle of the truck then I am already fucked. Just tie your shit down.

i don't think paint ball canisters work man..guy on expedition portal told be he has an older one cause newer ones don't allow the flow you need and they have a special adapter that won't fit something..i'll find it for you.

But i am pretty sure they won't work 100% right..

Plus Ben, All that is protecting Monte and Marc from where they mount their CO2 tanks is a thin sheet of metal . You have potentially just created more shrapnel coming towards you in one of these .00001% chance events that you manage to think up.
