i keep hearing this term tossed around but I Dont think you know what the implications are. What is day 1? Was Bundy's family here before the Native Americans got kicked off their land?

 

According to him his family has "worked" it. Everyone I know who owns land has a deed to show they own it.

Honestly I wouldn't be going to the park if I had to pay for it. If I had animals I'd have the land for them to graze on. I have 2 kids, so I have enough room for them to live.

They've controlled the land for all this time and could and could of drilled/fracked/etc... On it by now.

Legally speaking, pretty much. They basically just have to have a good reason. If you read through the constitution in its entirety or at least the cliff notes it's pretty clear. I'm not saying its how things should be, but it is the way it is.

they're doing this to Bundy because his cattle have been grazing illegally for over 20 years. Call it destruction of government property, trespassing on federal land, larceny, tax evasion. Whatever you like. Regardless, they're legally in the right. The financial amount of grass alone that his cattle have gotten for free in this time is over $1 million.
