I used yellow Lamin-X back in 2005 and it was on about a year. It trapped too much heat inside the housing and both lenses had about 50 1/4 inch cracks apiece in them. Looked like hell, but they didn't crack all the way through and let water in.

Tried the Nokya bulbs too. The rubber o-ring on the base was like a cheap rubber band and they leaked after 6 months.

I'd love to have a great set of bulbs, with a no bullshit hue of yellow, like old school Cibie yellow made with cadmium color. Hopefully someone comes up with a set of LED's that fulfill that wish.

I agree. That is a good idea.

That said these are solid built bulbs and housings. That does not mean longevity of course but I am impressed with the build quality.

I replaced the bullshit o-ring on my Nokya with the stock o-ring and never had a issue after that.

    Nice right up Britt.

I am curious to see how long they last. Although I may not want to wait that long to get them. The ones you put in were the H4/9003 set correct? I may have missed it.

There is a coupon code that I used. And that is like the 3 time that thread has been linked. I posted in this thread that this is the 3rd thread but I gave a detailed write up that hasn't really been done before (at least I missed it if it has;)).

Great pics and appreciate the example shots! I'm pretty much sold. The lumen output is really up there and the only thing I would wonder is how they affect on-coming drivers. One thing I hate about guys with HID's is at night...it's blinding coming at you! As long as they're not glarey. Perhaps you could have someone drive your truck towards you and test out the theory?

Edit: Nevermind...I read it in your earlier post in ref blinding other drivers...:)

Was there a redemption code available when purchasing? Was checking out the LifetimeLED site and also saw the LED fog bulbs. Any idea which ones would fit the 12-14 taco?

I'm sold. I want something better then stock but never gone HID since they're always burning out. How many HID conversion kits you see out there driving around with one burnt out.

Can you get a buddy to drive towards you and report back. Just a basic opinion is all that's needed.

I had my wife drive the opposite way last night and she reported no glare or unusual brightness coming from the opposite direction. She was in the FR-S and it doesn't get too much lower than that to the ground. High beams were another story ;)

This is the code I used: taco_15_off

Good luck with whatever way you guys decide to go. I'm sold on them. My only concern (along with all of yours) is the longevity but that said... they are lifetime replacements as long as the company stays in business. Henry is a great guy to work with. It was well worth the $145 upgrade and I was running Sylvania zXe bulbs which were great.

But I think you can see in this shot they aren't as good as the LED

And the warranty is lifetime full replacement? That's not as expensive as I would have thought; $145 for the full kit (both sides)? Hadn't bothered to look at the site yet.

    EDIT: Morning Britt

I'm sold after seeing this pic compared to the Sylvania zXe which I currently have on my truck. Thanks for the code
