I just picked up a truck bedz air mattress to go along with the truck tent. Headed to the keys in two weeks for some camping, fishing, and SUP.

Anyone carry their SUPs on OEM racks? I have been looking at picking some up but didn't know if anyone had any experience with them carrying longer boards.

I hope so...we take them out in the boat with us and have been seeing a fair amount of manatees lately. I have to hold the wife back from trying to capture a pet for the house.

Haha. Well, they eat a lot of grass so your lawn would be in check but you'll have to flood the yard!

BTW, how deep is the water where you go. The Keys in general are pretty shallow.

I go out of Pompano and the intracoastal has some beach areas with 8 foot or less depth on the sides. We find a good sandbar when the water is crystal clear and relax.

Camping in the keys is definitely not a spurt of the moment thing. Just about all of the places I have seen (especially state parks) you need reservations far in advance. Key Largo has a few private spots but tailor mostly to the RVs and will have tent locations.

With that being said I have always camped further north (Sebastian Inlet) so that I could surf, SUP, and be next to the water.

I would love to camp out at Bahia Honda.

Check my build thread...too much to list.
Anyone that's going to the hump on Sunday want to buy some husky floor liners front and rear for a double cab? I picked up some wet okole seat covers yesterday and they came with. I have WeatherTechs in my truck and don't need them. I'll sell them to you for $30. If not I'll probably just post these on craigslist down here.

Great deal on the Wet Okes PS! I couldn't make it down there last weekend and needed some rears.

yea you definitely have to plan in advance for anything in the keys.
we usually go out to ann's beach with the dog.

"Sebastian Inlet" I haven't been that far south into the Keys in a long time.

Hey im down to plan a Tacoma camping meet down in Bahia Honda one
    of these months.

I'm down for that. I would say I'm the closest to you. We can meet up at the shell gas station on Lyons just before the sawgrass. Or if there's more people we can plan on somewhere else

I'm coming up on 20k soon, and I've never done it. I know they supposedly "check" it with toyota care, but you and I know that's a load of crap. Just curious how hard it really is, and if I need to do it...

I only found 3 on the back and I didn't even do the front.
