Id grab some of the cheap steelies Wheelers sells. They can support a 12.5" tire for only like $78 a wheel i think. And possibly. All tires are slightly different sizes even though they may be labeled the same size. I never understood it. Like 31s aren't really 31" tall, they are just under

Steels are great but my last set warped so I'm kind of weary of them. I just measured my tires and they are artually 29.25"x10"r15 actual size so that could be some of it. What's the rim width for a 12" tire?

Its supposed to be no less then 4" under the size of the tire. So an 8" wide rim for 12" wide tire. But lots of people run 12.5" tires on 8" rims. And usually its better to shoot for the bottom number of a tires recommended width. Less likely to pop a bead offroad

Did you try the ones from on here?
Okay that's good to know. I'll probably not run a 12" tire but I'll move wider with the next set.

Oh boys the truetrac is awesome haha. The place I wheel is sugar sand(BAAAAAD STUFF!!!!) and the truetrac got me through stuff nobody else in 2wd can do haha. I even got off camber with a wheel off the ground climbing that hill that's in the video, and of course the downfall of all LSDs are they don't work when 1 wheels off the ground, but I pulled the e-brake, an out she pulled haha. I love it. It's still taking some getting used to on what it does to the truck while is engaging. Feels like the trucks falling apart haha. I am having some vibes while driving now that weren't there before install though. Gonna have to get the shop to find out what's wrong

Now let's take this thread in another direction haha. So I was talkin to a girl. Things were going awesome, I was like her knight in shining armor cause of a crazy ex. Always a gentleman(open doors, pay the bills, etc). Them she just decides she doesn't want anything to do with me to go back with her ex. This is a guy who lived with her for a year, and didn't pay anything, wouldn't do chores, has been known to hit her, got heavily into drugs, never paid for any dates or gifts for her, and she threw him out. Now she dumps me for him? I'm confused on the mentality in this lol? Do I seem that bad guys haha? Jersey, what's your opinion on this? Supposedly you jersey guys are ladies men lmao :p

Hahaha, idk man, that is crazy, but I think its maybe she has a "soft spot" for him and knows he's bad, but can't really let him go. Its just people mentality, they know its not good for them, but its what they got used to and all they know, so they stick with it if they can.

And you seem like a normal dude

I can tell she was never "out of love" with him. But I don't get it. If he hits you, it sure ain't love. Goes the other was round too. She hits you, it ain't love haha

Dude that sweet! Does it only lock when you give it some gas or when it slips? A 2wd truck seems like it should always have a locker of some sort in the rear it helps so much. What do you think is causing the vibes?
To be honest girls are a bit crazy after break ups. My last girlfriend Broke up with me (kinda her kinda me) and she is currently going to prom with another guy but trying to get back with me? Idk sometimes you gotta let her figure it out before you try anything. But yeah its got to be annoying to say the least hahah and you seem normal to me just see where it goes

If it senses slip you can feel and see it move the power to the other wheel and almost stop all slip in the other one. If you just kind of gas it it seems to just lock an spin both tires equal. I agree that all 2wds should have at least LSD, but it's cheaper to make a open diff and that's why they go with them. And I don't know about the vibes, but it's pretty noticeable. I wouldn't think it's a u-joint or the center bearing cause it didn't do it before install. I'm thinking it's either something they did in the diff or something they did with the driveshaft.

I'm pretty sure she's done with me. She said I'm not her type. I was like what, smarter then the average rock and know how to treat girls, that's not your type lol. Idk man. I liked her a lot, but that's just not worth my time if she can't see what's right in front of her. And it sounds like your girl just can't resist the yota haha

Obviously it helps off road but do you think it increases the acceleration from a stop? How much did the whole thing cost including labor if you don't mind. For the vibes they should fix it no matter what it is but it could be they messed with the driveshaft
Ahhh that sucks man its a pretty shitty feeling but if she wants that kind of guy in the end she probably isn't worth it. And she actually didn't like it  now that being said the potential new girl loves it :spy:

It really would only help traction from a stop, not make it go any faster. I paid $469 for the carrier, and $651 for install with new bearings, races, and fluid. I think labor was way to high, but from what I've seen it just depends. Some people only paid like $250 for install, while I paid $475 in labor, another guy paid $680 just for them to swap it after he brought the diff into the shop himself. I bet it's the driveshaft, but who knows. Oh that's it, she doesn't like the yota she gots ta go haha

Didn't know if the traction of the stop would help. Being go light in the back end these trucks spin tires haha for the labor cost I could see it going all over the place in cost. Probably depends on where you live. Yeah love the Yota or gtfo!

My truck used to spin with the smaller tires, but now with the wider taller 31s it doesn't spin at all from a stop unless there's sand or something on the road
