Hey guys! Just got a new Tacoma and was wondering what you guys thought is the best exhaust I could get for my 2.7l Tacoma. Also what header if needed and a estimated price of one.

    Thanks Mike!

The best exhaust is the stock one. It's works, and you've already paid for it. Why waste money?

    Hi Mike, :)

If you want more sound, change your exhaust...

...but if you want more low end torque, change your header.

The very first mod on my 2012, and one of the best, was to install a header. I like LCE the best because it's an equal length long tube header that is cleverly folded to fit into exactly the same space as the stock header. It's about $475 including shipping. I dyno tested mine and it lowered the torque peak by 650 rpm.

    I agree. :)
I got great dyno results running my stock exhaust with the header.

Hey Greg when you put the header on did you notice and change of sound in the exhaust?

Yes... but not the exhaust itself. There's this strange hollow metallic whooshing sound coming directly from under the hood made by the header itself. Sorry, that's my best description. It's actually quite pleasant. :)

I believe there's no better 2.7 mod than a long tube header. It lowers the torque peak rpms 2.5 times more than my intake manifold spacer does.
