the VFG specification/change of classification for the weapon with one...seems oddly specific and arbitrary

like someone somewhere was just like "it has to look like a stick, otherwise its okay"

How do you like the New Frontier polymer lower? I always look at them when I go in the store. I've seen what they put the polymer lower through and it seems pretty durable.

That's exactly why I avoided Frontier. I've heard some stories like yours and some much worse. I was able to get an aluminum one for about the same price. Seems like they're up and running though, they're completely fine and take quite a bit of abuse! What didn't fit when you got yours?

I'd like to know what you had to file as well. I like the shop and they've always been helpful to me so I'd like to support them. I guess to avoid any problems I could always bring the upper to them for a test fit.

i held a sig 308 pistol with a sig brace..the rubber is fairly stiff its a prosthetic grade plastic. you can definitely fire it shouldered and according to the batfe its just misuse of the design and doesnt make it a SBR

Didn't mean to freak everyone out but being involved with Class III stuff you need to watch your step with everything. Plus I would rather be corrected by one of my own than the ATF.

X2. I keep copies of all ATF letters pertaining to my less-than-conventional builds.

I suggest Ryan pull those pics off the web. You dont want them floating around even if you already pulled the front grip off.
