Hmmm...May have to search pretty hard for this one...Davis is pretty nice. Maybe outside the city, though.

 

Modesto isnt very far from you is it? That place is a dump.

Very nice shot Murph, Congrats! Good choice on the challenge, now just which meth house...uh I mean abandoned building to choose

 

Ew...it's like an hour and a half away but yeah, a lot of those central valley cities have bad spots. I'm not gonna drive over like 20 minutes away just for this challenge, though. I might go to Sac for some aluminum at some point this week, which'll have more options than in Davis, but I've got a few other ideas just outside of Davis or in Woodland.

I don't know about in Davis, though, most of them are snatched up really quickly for use (Davis is super dense) or torn down. I'll look around, though!

 

I dated a girl from Sonora whose sister lived in Modesto. We went down there a few times. Yuck.
I am going to look around town, if I cant find anything here, there's a small town about 50 miles away that definitely has some potential.

Here is my submission for this weeks challenge. "Urban Decay"

 

It is sad that I am not sure if I will have a chance to get some pics for this challenge and I work 10 min from a run down part of Fort Worth with tons of abandoned buildings. Maybe at lunch tomorrow I will have a chance but with the week has been my lunch will be short.

Been awhile since I've been able to find something good for the challenge. Here is my entry.

 

This is from the old "Germain Amphitheater" north of Columbus, Ohio closed 2007. I hadn't been there in about 3 years and was hoping some of the buildings were still standing, they aren't - just rubble now. Shot from a staircase looking back to the expansive empty parking lot.

 

No go for me this week. Woke up with a pretty bad corneal abrasion thanks to leaving my contacts in the night before. F me.
