    TIRE PRESSURE !

Finally, a day with warm enough temps, to do my overdue tire rotation.
Torqued Lug Nuts and took it for a 5 mile spin, something seemed off.
    Got back and checked torque.
Next day 25 miles +/-. Something still didn't seem right.
Next morning, recheck torque, check tread depth and pressure with cold tires.
 Found it, 38 to 39 lbs pressure. a week ago it was 34 lbs, my normal.
Ahhh, that luxury car ride again
Just a reminder, increased temperatures, check your pressure
On a side note: my mileage was up

Yah, it's a weekly thing for me, 34 lbs one week, 39 lbs the next, just remindin' folks
    Nah, it's an anal thing.
IMHO, tires are the most important part of a vehicle.
They're the one thing that insures that tons of metal go exactly where I want it to.

Checked all 8 tires last week, added at least a couple lbs. of air all the way around. Probably end up letting it back out in a few weeks:rolleyes:

Doesn't anyone know that you must have the winter air removed from your tires and have summer air installed. Go to your local tire shop and when they do this they will automatically adjust the tire pressure for you.

Don't forget that when you check your tires it is cold tire pressure. If you check them when they are warm the pressure will be higher.

Yea I was joking about the winter and summer air. At the garage where I work I wanted to put that on the sign out front but the boss would not let me. He said we just don't have time to explain to everyone that it was just a joke. About the cold tire pressure that was no joke.

That sounds like a good plan and Thanks for the reminder. The older we get the more we forget and I am getting pretty old.

Not much good here in michigan to be quite so picky. Yesterday we had a high temperature of 65 degrees AND the most snowfall ever recorded on april 14, in the same day

Actually, I've had to do much of the same thing as the OP. Our roads are so destroyed from the long winter that high tire pressures would mean busted suspension parts. I don't want them over 35 pounds until the endless craters are fixed. I hit one in the dark last week that really woke me up, darn hole was wider than the lane, at least 4" deep and half a car length long... needless to say I've avoided that road for a while.

Long winter indeed... we officially exceeded 6 months without reaching 70 degrees

So true. Michigan is a two season state - snow season and construction season.

I'm afraid this year's not going to be good for the road commission. So many roads need to be chewed down to the foundation and started fresh, but they don't have any money, so for the past couple years all over the place roads that have been paved for decades are being turned back into gravel, or just removed completely. Now who knows how many we'll lose.

Walmart does carry summer air but they only sell it through their automotive service. I believe right now they are running an unadvertised special. If you ask for the "SUMMER AIR SPECIAL" they knock 25% off. You have to ask for it back at their automotive service desk.

I check mine everytime the light goes off or if I'm going out of town. I run 40psig, I never go off road due to me having 20's on my truck with street shoes ....If it were not for flooding around here I would gotten a 5 lug but I need the height so I can get to work when it floods
