Sooner or later I am going to try to get out for a little pre-exploration to get a rough idea on some of these trails, as well as check out other areas for backup in case we get through too fast. Maybe we can go out together. I am less modded than you.

I have a few things, poor mans winch (come along), tow strap, chains, shackles, and a little knowledge on how to use them.

I suspect the trails won't be difficult and your most valuable tool will be a chain saw. Expect lots of pin striping.

When will we firm up dates? My parents want to see me either the 14-16 or the 24-27. I clearly have put wheeling before my parents heh, so whatever dates we decide on I'll then tell them when I can see em heh heh

I was going to kick this idea out there...depending on how much bushwacking we plan on doing.... I can always bring one of my RC airplanes to map out the near by area. I was able to map about 50 acres at a time at my families place in WI.... so if our maps are out of date and we dont know if it will be worth it after hours of chainsaw action... this might help. I will try and post a map once I get home.

so the arrow points to me in the field and I am sitting in golf cart sized vehicle. This is roughly 40 acres and the original file is quite huge, so you can zoom in and get about 10in resolution.

I can provide a chainsaw or 2, as well as gas weed whacked with metal blades, and fuel for them (2 stroke, not so good for trucks). I also have some splitting mauls, axes, sledges and wedges if we are looking to split oversized pieces of wood while out there for making fire.

I also have a 12 gal gas buddy and a couple 2.5 gal gas cans for straight gas. I just picked up a fluid dispenser that we can fill with water, juice, Gatorade, etc. I think it is 3 gallon.

How often will you need to charge batteries? If you have extra batteries, a charger can be plugged into the inverter while trucks are on the move.

If you don't draw blood, you're doing it wrong!
I think we settled on 8/8-8/11.

How does that work you everyone?
