hid head lights, hid fog lights, always on fog lights, bed lights

This is his reply comparing his LED headlight to hid.

35watt hid is 3400 lumens. 55watt hid is 5000 lumens.

Thanks. I'm in Alaska so I'm not sure how long it will take.

After waiting a week for delivery I just installed mine today after I got home from work. It was a little tight and fiddly work but I got it done going slow in about 15 mins.
I trimmed the inside diameter of the rubber boots just a bit bigger with scissors to make the install easier. You have to loosen the battery tie down and remove the two bolts holding the washer fluid ( all 10mm) to get access to the bulbs and it's still very tight. I cleaned the shelf under the back of the lights with alcohol and stuck the LED drivers flat down ( I figured gravity plus double stick tape would hold them there best long term) They appear very bright even in daylight. I'll test them tonight when it finally gets dark.

    Here's some installation pictures. ;)

Ordered mine last night (#162) and looking through your pictures it looks like you had to remove the retainer spring...is that the case or am I just missing seeing it in your picture. Also, do these index in to mount to make sure I don't have one mounted upside down or something else possibly idiotic?

It's the injector tick that I'm worried about drowning out.

^This. Do all of the V6's have that tick or is it caused by something fixable?

To answer your question yes you have to remove the retainer spring in order to remove the old bulb. They can only go in one way so you wont get it upside down or anything. It's a really easy install.

Thanks, I was wondering about that. Last vehicle the clip just kinda swung out of the way once you un-clipped it...

Yeah thats all you really have to do. Unclip it and swing it away. Then put in the new piece and clip it back into place. Place rubber over that and then the light/fan assembly slide through and you give a 1/4 turn and it locks in and your set.

The rubber boots are on soooo dang tight on the stock halogen bulbs that the retaining clip will come out when removing whether you want it to or not.

    Here's a few night shots ;)

It's definitely a much whiter light with a hint of blue like HID. Without a stock truck with halogen right next to one with LED it's hard to gauge just how much brighter these are ????? The beam pattern has a nice cut off like halogen and I stood in front of the truck from varying distances and it doesn't seem to glare.

I agree... That would be awesome if someone would have done that.
