Yep. It's not all of them though ... our youngest son just changed out the break in oil in his brand new Charger.

EDIT: If they replace the Escape, what do they replace it with? Glad to read your case is gaining traction.

Reminds me of the number of times over the years I'd get onto both the boys about various things. My wife would sometimes remark, "they're not Airmen." To which I generally replied, "you hug 'em, I'll take care of building character and making sure they're capable productive members of society."

Heavy rain with wind went through here earlier.
Holy crap, almost time to mow already!!!!

 

Prayers are with you Charlie for a successful operation and a quick recovery.

Three of my last 4 vehicles have been new and I have replaced out the initial oil at 500 miles with the recommended weight oil from Redline. Motors are always clean and no problems with the motors during the life of the vehicle.

We did buy a Pontiac van in 98 that had a POS 3.4 L 6 banger. Strong motor but do not let it overheat for any reason. On the 2nd overheat the heads warp and the motor is toast. Also has a reputation of POS LIM gaskets going south. Our motor gave it up at 125K and the dealer thought he was being funny when he said it lasted a lot longer than most.

 

Son mowed this past Saturday and ready to be mowed again.

 

Missing the days when the boys were around to do the mowing.

 

Hope everything goes well with the surgery, Charlie. Be serious about whatever rehab and physical therapy the doctor recommends. I stated some time back that the wife had one partial knee and one total hip replacement a couple of years ago and with the therapy she's doing just great and a happy camper. Of course, that story almost ended last week when she drove my lawn tractor off the stand I assemble to remove and sharpen the blades. I said STOP and she hit the gas pedal instead of the brake!! Didn't speak to her for a day and a half.

Rebuilt the stand and leveled the mowing deck .... what a pain.

Nigh 35 degree drop from this morning here in the Roanoke Valley & windy as the B G Bees...brought in plants & covered the ones up the wife planted this weekend, supposed to warm up some in a couple days...on my last round of 'roids & antibiotics for a heckacious sinus/throat infection...after reading some of ya'lls post, I'll not be complainin'...hope everyone heals up soon...
