 it sucks. Plus most of my gov job applications are still sitting at "received" status. They're quick to change if you're not chosen but this one particular one has been sitting at received since March 6th. That's for a temporary position so by the time I hear if I got it or not it's going to be too late to accept it I think.

They take forever. Dumb ass internships in my moms building dont take your work experience or anything like that. They take the last number of your social security number and if thats what number they randomly select then you get the job :der:

True that. Shitty thing about the rent though is most mortgages aren't even that high.

Giving yourself $900/mo to spend isn't bad though. Given my circumstances I have a monthly $750 to spend after bills and savings. I'm doing good.

    Ps. I'll come hang/bang if you're into it ;)

they say the transmission and 4x4 is fine, engine knocks, I can see some rust holes on the side of the bed. I don't know what it would take to fix those sorts of things, but it has fairly new 35's on it, so the tires seem with the $800

The average rent in NYC is $3822  obviously there is high end rent inflating that but I wouldnt think you can get anything for $900 in Manhattan, even Brooklyn averages $3035

I have been going to NY 4 to 5 times a year for work since 09. Trust me, if you haven't been there you will be blown away by how expensive shit is there. It all adds up so quickly. unless you know someone or blow someone your not getting an apt for 900. my friend works on wall street, makes over $150k a year, and has a tiny studio apt and pays $1900 a month. My office at work is bigger than his apt. His bedroom is about the size of a queen bed. you can spread your arms and touch wall to wall. literally wall to wall

if you can do it go for it, NY is awesome to visit. I wouldn't live there permanently but 6 months to a year for sure. Don't take your truck though. You will regret it. there public transportation is so awesome. You can either take a subway or hoof it. I wouldn't even own a car if I lived there.

My sister lives in Manhattan, not only will you pay massive parking fees just to park when you go somewhere, you will have to pay a huge monthly bill just to have a parking space at your apt too
