Dear lord, construction season is right. I only moved up north from TX 1 1/2 years ago, and those three months of summer is a time of alternate routes and congested traffic. I don't think it ever ends.

Big tires, big lift, Lots of stuff's.
I've been out trail running and there is still a lot of snow. I'm over it and ready for the run off... It's summer sports time, rafting, running, mtn biking, camping. Although after my move it's proving more difficult to find all my stuff, guess that a reason to buy new stuff.

Won't be doing any actual camping, but heading out west finally, to Washington state for a week. Can't wait to see some real mountains.
Rainier and St. Helens are on my list of places to visit and do day hikes. Heading out on the 26th, can't wait :D

If any one know someone in need of some
Kayak spray skirts let me know. I have two brand new ones that I'll let go for a lot less than what I paid for them and I'll ship them. They are seals shocker 1.4, an XL and a small. I'd make a sale post but I'm not sure too many people kayak on this forum. This thread is prolly the only people that might. :D

Both Rainier and St. Helens will have snow still. Paradise on Mt. Rainier is great to visit but will still have tons of snow. Be perfect for snowshoeing though! The Longmire area (basically when you enter the park...ie lower elevation) should be snow free (it more or less is right now) but youd have to look at trails around there that dont gain to much elevation. Most that leave from there that i can think of gain elevation somewhat quickly and might run into snow. St. Helens is going ot be the same way pretty much.

On a positive by the end of the month it should be an easy drive up to Paradise!

Not trying ot be a buzz kill but more warn ya so ya dress appropriately

It is Sedona. On top of schnebly hill. Its all dispersed free camping and you need a truck to that spot.

That oven thing is pretty cool Brian

Thanks for the heads up... We're bringing our boots, no snowshoes though.... If we can't hike it, we'll just go up for whatever scenic views we can make it to... I found some waterfalls to visit as well, so we may hike to one.

Yea that is a sweet trailer!

So what kind of stuff do you guys usually like to cook while camping?
I hate cooking just as much as I hate cleaning no matter if it's at home or in the woods. So I usually try to do low mess meals as much as possible. I have a hot dog stick for hot dogs/corn dogs/ cheddar brats. We've done chicken in foil in the fire plenty of times and it's hit or miss since you can't see it and it's easy to burn atleast part of it.

I just picked up a Coleman grill/stove with the idea it will be great for cooking chicken, burgers, steak, and still has a burner for cooking pasta or rice or something. Plus it's good for quick stops on road trips or on the trail, or where ever else I can't have a fire.
