Coilovers, All-Pro +2" LT kit, Timbren Bumpstops front and rear, All-Pro U-Bolt flip kit, Pelfreybilt Hybrid front bumper, RCI IFS Skid, RCI Sliders, more to come.....
I have the nitto terra grapplers on a 3" front and back lift. I like it. I can't comment on mileage due to me having a supercharger as well. But the ride is great, I don't know what suspension your looking at, but I have all pro standard leafs in the back with fox 2.0 piggybacks and fox 2.5 long travel front. I enjoy the nitto's and will probably get them again. They aren't very loud, and ride very nice.

I was wondering the same myself. I see lots of people posting they have these tires on the same 3" toytec lift as me and don't know how the tires don't rub like crazy. I just put on my new rims a few days ago with my same 265/70/17 tires and the driver side tire rubs on my fender and cab mount. I already trimmed the fenders and have to find a local shop that will do the cab mount chop. Don't know if I'll even be able to get 32's or 33's on

What are the specs on your new wheels? That has a lot to do with it. Also, how is your alignment? Do the wheels look centered in the wheel well?

17" rims with +10 offset, maybe my 1.25" spidertrax spacers are making it worse. Also the tire shop that put them on was closed today. I noticed when I stand back behind my truck the right rear tire sticks out like an inch further than the left so something is way off.. I didn't know new rims meant I needed an alignment

As for the right rear tire sticking out more... Is your truck on level ground? Even the slightest hump will make your truck lean and when the truck leans one of the rear tires appears to stick out further.

And the alignment Isnt because of the new rims, it's to help with the rubbing. I can't remember if it's caster or camber, but one of those can be adjusted to slightly move the wheel forward in the wheel well which would keep the tire from rubbing on the cab mount. I think all you need is a big hammer instead of a CMC. Just give the cab mount a little beating and you should be good

im not sure how much rubbing I will have but, from what I have read here a rim with 4.5' bs with 0 offset works best and get new uca's. I have LT 265 70 17 bfg at and don't rub anywhere on stock suspension and sport rims

That might have been it, although when im driving on a flat road and I look out both mirrors the tire definetly is sticking out more, I couldn't make sense of it. When I get back to our work shop today im gonna run a level down the fender and measure the distances on borh sides. Gonna get the CMC regardless cause im going to 33's within a month. Thanks for the help!

I have a 3" skyjacker leveling kit so 3" front and like 2" rear. I am running 285/70/17 no trimming at all rubs a little bit in reverse. I did remove all mud flaps and the very front mud flaps (meaning in front of the front tires). I have 17x9 rims with a 4.5mm offset and I am sure that helps with the rubbing vs stock rims and or different offset rims.

I had 17x9 wheel and 285 70 17 nitto terra grapplers. I was running a 3inch Pro comp lift . I only rubbed full lock reverse. Also i think i got around 17 mpg city and about 19 close to 20 on highway.

edit: also the ride was pretty smooth. I did get rid of the pro comp and went with a 4.5 inch lift bds and i enjoyed the ride a whole lot better.

Running the 3" procomp with 285/70/17 -12mm offset just had small fender rub on the bottom plastic in the front bumper I shaved down. The pro comp lift also raised my truck 4" and not 3 though. Looks great though would not go any less than 285s on a lifted taco, perfect combo. Night and day ride quality though from stock.

My sig pic below is a 3" toytec coilover lift and LR uca's. 285/70/17 firestone mtr's, wheels are 17x9. I had to remove front mudflaps and do the cab mount chop to keep from rubbing. Lots of trimming but it still looks good and no rub.

I have an 11 DCLB eibach coils and 5100's set at .85.I added toytec 1/2 spacers....I had 285/70/17s Fierce attitudes.. great tire!!.But w/ all the driving I do I had to tsake them off Gas mileage def suffered some.
The ride was great the tires were not loud at all....had a nice hum but not loud.
As far as rubbing issues I also had these tires mounted on FJ wheel wich have a different offset than stock sport wheels so the little rubbing I had was on the front fender well which I took care of w/ a heat gun.

Love the ride quality compared to stock. I have light rub on the front flaps. No biggie. No way I would run a smaller tire.

    I have 285/75/16 but it's closeish I guess.

It rubbed quite a bit at full lock when reversing on the street. Trimming the back of the fog light housing thing pretty much got rid of that entirely.

If you wheel it will rub in a few spots. I haven't needed to trim those spots yet.

im wondering about the p rated 285 because from what I have read they are about 10lbs lighter per tire. I don't tow anything and offroading is minimal so im wondering about the best at tire for me with good on road manners?
