    a whole new rear end for a bent axle? Why not just the axle and the related parts? That seems excessive.




    Probably couldn't tell until they got the truck into driveable condition.

    They dropped the ball Saturday & nothing was done then Monday got the springs done & while the tire shop was putting on the new tires the screwed up one of the rims so they had to get me another one.
    I thought I was getting it back yesterday until the noticed the axle housing was bent.

    They thought it was just the leaf spring throwing it out of square, yesterday they got it all back together & noticed the wheel was still turned out just not as bad as before but still not right.

    Day 36 now.

    The axle housing is bent. The manager originally told me new rear end but now it's just a new housing & everything on the right side. From the diff left will be original.

    That's one of the first things I thought about. I guess we'll see when they tear it down.
    I just had that 3rd member put in last year, there was a tsb for it cause they had a humming issue.
