Not a "what do we want to know" just a place for us airhead types to get together and chit chat.

What kind of background do you have?? What have you flown??

NIce! THanks for the compliment. Well, if you've departed LAX over either VTU or GMN then VERY good chance you've talked to me. That's the sector I'm training on now, I'll get to the rest of them witin the year hopefully. Not too many continentals going my way yet. My next sector will be the southern departures AKA, Loop and Holtz departures so I'm sure I'll be hereing from you.:D

oh, close but no cigar. Thats the "Burbank area" controllers that work that. I'm strictly LAX departures and satellite airports to the south, oh and SMO. We're all in one building, in fact all of the approach/departure controllers for southern CA are in the same building. I have many friends in the burbank area, good group of controllers, you're in good hands.

I was wondering if there were any pilots on here. Glad I found this thread! I have my private and I'm reporting to Navy flight training in a month.

I don't care what I fly in the Navy as long as I'm flying something. Good luck to you!

I have been flying for 10 years and still love it. The rose colored glasses are now off though and see the cut throat business of corporate aviation and don't care for it. That being said if you can negotiate yourself a nice salary, it is the greatest job in the world hands down. Good luck to all the pilots starting out and to those that aviation has royally screwed over, let's go out for drinks. I am buying.

I have about 4 years experience in the military flying C17s. Now headed to teach pilot training at Laughlin AFB, Texas. FedExCFI, how long have you been based out of Memphis?

I have lived in Memphis for my entire life, but have been flying corporate/contract in the Memphis area for about 4 years. I work for FedEx in a job with a great schedule for my bill paying money, and fly on my days off for fun money.

Are you thinking about rushing our guard unit?
