I wasn't keen on lifting and putting heavy crap on a DD, but I just can't get something as nice as I'd like for cheap, and I don't want two car notes. Most of the 3rd gens I'm finding are in crap shape. I like having the truck, it has come in handy since I've gotten it, and I had plenty of times when I had the 4runner when I felt I could really use a truck.

 

Haha gun laws? What are those? Last time I looked in pretty sure you can open carry at 14... And of course no permit needed

 

Finding a 3rd gen in good shape with a manual and a locker is like finding a wholesome woman at a rave.

 

federal law requires you to be 21 to purchase a hand gun, I am fuzzy on whether it's a state or federal law that regulates the age to own a hand gun.

 

Yeah I'm not clear on that either. That's why I was so surprised to see 14 as the age to open carry.

 

I don't need a manual or locker. In fact I am shying away from a manual. I don't know why. I was just looking for something halfway clean and in good working condition so I don't have to sink money into getting it running before I can mod it. I would add lockers though.

here it's 18 to own, 21 to get a license. I don't understand an earlier statement made about a ccw but only for handguns? what the hell else are you trying to conceal?

Open carry while in heavily populated areas is idiotic. And open carrying when not being able to purchase the gun or the ammo is as well. Unless you are living where you may need it
For something. Like the mountains or on a large plot of land I see no problem with that.

 

My guess is it's more for hunting purposes since so many people carry handguns for bears around here. I rarelyyyy see anyone open carry in town and when I have they definitely weren't 14 haha

 

Yeah I edited before you posted. I agree with that need for sure.

 

I know I'll regret selling the Tacoma. I really need to be patient and save up to be able to get what I want without compromising. I can be a bit impulsive and I get this "oh man there are cars I want for sale right now and I don't know if I will find what I want later on" way of thinking. I need to be confident that when I'm ready, I will find what I want.

 

I wouldn't rely on a handgun if it were a walking around in the wilderness scenario. Much rather have a rifle or shotgun with me if possible.

In some scenarios, yes. But fishing with a handgun in a holster is wayyyy easier than with a shotgun on your back. And people don't carry around pea shooters when they're out on the rivers. Haha they bring the handguns with some punch
