Been looking for a single lb of the CFE223 for awhile now. Its proving to be quite a versatile powder.

I haven't tried it yet. Friend of mine has a powder hook-up and I couldn't say no.

Picked up 150 rounds of 12 ga for sporting clays. Also bought one of the Surefire Siege lanterns for my kayak. 300+ hours of light, red mode, SOS mode, floats. Seemed like a good thing to have.

Not sure if you are aware of this or not but Remington just put a recall out on some of the newer model 700s with the X-Mark trigger. Mine fell into this category and I just received the boxes to send it back for the repair. Something about the trigger being able to slip while it is in battery, causing the gun to fire without warning? Just thought I would give you a heads up. If you want to check your serial number the link below will take you to the site.

Picked up a Norinco AK-47 underfolding stock, like new condition. Not a big fan of these due to poor ergonomics with the stock out, but the price was right and it came with some accessories. Plus I have some ammo to feed it.

    I prefer stainles steel.

24" is plenty long in 308, and probably more accurate than 26" due the whip. If you go 24 or 26 make it a #7 taper or heavier, in the Palma profiles this is a Palma Medium taper.

I have a couple in Palma Medium taper: one in 7mm made up in 280 Ackley Improved, and one in 6.5mm still unchambered. I like Rock Creek barrels as they are good value and accurate. Krieger makes top quality too, but hard to get.

You couldn't sell me a newer Remington and this is prime example of how their QC has slipped in recent years. I've owned numerous R700's too (30cal and 338 Lapua) so don't call me a hater I just see what has happened in the last few years.

That ain't no lie. My buddy bought an XCR 338LM, and it was garbage. It took so much just to get the damned thing to shoot straight, and even then it was so inconsistent that he sent it back. Good thing is when they received it, they called him and said the barrel was below even their standards. They rebuilt it and sent it back to him quickly.

Here's the cool part, though. An hour after it was delivered to him, the Remington guy called and told him what he got. It was a completely new rifle built by the same guys who build the M24's for the Veteran purchase program. It's more accurate than his SAKO TRG42 338LM now.

So, poor QC aside, they at least did him right in the end.

Just picked up a Magpul RVG for my SPR which I'm going to use as my back-up in a carbine course. That oughtta be a heck of a workout...
