Need help in Richmond, VA

So I am attending this course at FT Lee, VA and they have me living at the Hampton Inn for two months. Well they gave me a %#@? load of money to come to the course. So being like any Tacoma World addict out there I blew most of the money on mods for my truck. I had all of the parts delivered to my hotel room then asked the hotel if they would mind if I worked on my truck in the parking lot. I figured I would ask since they are the ones that make my bed every day. Well they dont really allow that here.

So if there is anyone in the Richmond, VA area that wouldn't mind someone using there driveway/garage for a little bit to do some mods it sure would be appreciated. All I am doing is installing some fog lights and debagging.

Go over to the fair grounds, they normally have shows of some sort over there every weekend and I doubt they will care what you are doing out there. It is the same as Richmond International Raceway.

 

i dont have a garage or i driveway but i do have parking spot in my backyard... btw is the hampton inn ur at in richmond?

I am just installing a set of Blinglight Fogs and debagging it. I just got a set of Billstein struts and the Tacoma lean spacer from Toytec but I think I am going have those done when I get back to Texas.

I have a place you can work on it, about an hour from Richmond!

 

Come down here to the Airforce base at Langly or Yorktown! They have a whole MWR facility with snap on tools and racks and EVERYTHING you could possible need! Its $6 an hour to use....

 

Thanks for the offer everyone I found a place in the back of the hotel with a power plug and everything that I needed. I just flirted with the girl at the counter and explained to them that I was spending $130 a night for almost 60 nights she was alright with me working on my truck after that. Now I have my new Blinglights installed and tomorrow I will work on debagging and painting. Atleast I have something to do instead of just hanging out and watching television.

Sorry about that, I sure do appreciate the offer for the help. I am here for another six weeks and as long as they keep throwing money in my direction it is definately going to go on the truck. I want to do a couple other mods that I dont think they would appreciate me doing in the parking lot.

 

u need to do 2 things
1. get them to lower that rate b/c its way to high u should be paying 93 a nite, maybe u could pocket the difference
2. do whatever u want in their parking lot b/c they wont care... shit they tell us not to go outside to resolve a problem

 

That is the government rate and I dont really have to pay any of it. I think they actually dropped it down to $70 a night. It all goes on the government credit card any way. Are you all still planning that MOD day. I sure would like to meet all of you guys. Sitting in a hotel room 16 hours a day gets really boring.

 

im not a good group organizer, nor do i have a place for it to occur at... the hampton inn sounds appealing

 

yeah i think they would draw the line somewhere around one person doing some mods on their truck. I dont want to plan anything right now because my schedule changes alot. I will definately let you know. Again thanks for the offer.

I am going to order some LED's and I might need some help with them. Along with some lowering blocks for the rear

 

we could do it at my hotel... only prob i would see would be getting enough gear to the hotel... it actually sounds like a good idea
