It's hard to imagine all these big strong guys being afraid of a little spider...

That is one evil bastage spider! Your lucky it didn't jump out after you like the flaming spider in Arachnaphobia. I get the chills just looking at it.

I hate spiders. They freak me out. Especially the bigger they get. Guess I'm just a big pussy.

    Nice story BTW haha.

It was swinging back and forth like a rabid baboon when I took that picture! It invaded my bushes and would have followed me to my new house and waited to eat my (unborn/unconceived) children. It was a menace to society and the world is a better place without it.

I have nothing against spiders, I've let plenty of brown recluses, black widows, and little creepy crawly spiders go unharmed no matter how many webs they make between my truck and the garage that I walk through daily. But when they're big enough to pry open my windows and carry off my dog they have to die. With fire.

I didn't scream and run around flailing my arms around. I got grill tongs and lit its ass on fire. The only way it could have been more manly is if I was wearing a viking hat with chicks in bikinis in the background while eating bacon. And my bacon was moldy.

    YOU HUSH!!!!

Had it been in front of my house, either the Fire Dept would just now be leaving, or I would be patching holes from the 750 rounds of ammo I blasted into the side.

That's what we call em here too. Thier webs can get scary movie big. It sucks to be the first one out on a the trail for a MTB ride...you end up clearing out all the webs for everyone else.

When I was looking for something to burn it in I started looking through cupboards and pots and pans, then i remembered the bondo frying pan and the measuring cup incidents and started looking for something disposable ;)

I've messed with camel spiders and scorpions. Only difference is then I had boots and a rifle with 30 rounds of burst fired 5.56 readily available.
