If I wanted to buy say, 10' of various size vacuum line for a 2002 tacoma with the V6, what sizes should I buy?

I know some hose is for oil, fuel, or just air. What hose can't be used for multiple purposes? For example, can you use the same vacuum line used for your pcv valve as you would to plumb in an aftermarket trans cooler? Is it all the same rubber or will you need specific hose for a specific job? I'm not talking size here as that's obvious. Basically want to know what to ask for at the parts counter.

You can see this is more for the novice but I haven't seen it addressed.

Watch someone post a link to a ton of threads on this question. If that's the case then sorry in advance.

id say get silicone vacuum hose in whatever color you want. this was the kit on Amazon i was looking at:http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BQ0SDCU...TF8&colid=1EV55I8K91HYT&coliid=I38D2NPDIYIE8R

you want all metric sizes since its not an american vehicle. Ive looked for the exact sizes and there isn't much info about it. Just gotta get a little bit of all the different sizes and replace as much as you can which is why i thought that was the best option because of how many different sizes it comes with.

I have this idea, since my Taco is this cool Lavender Steel color, is putting as much blue and black in the engine as I can. Thinking of going with the blue silicone for the vacuum tubing, and adding some engine paint on other things :)

Nah it's just a gimmick. See that a lot on eBay. It's $42. But they listed it down to $14 to reel in consumers thinking they're getting a better deal. When they're not. They're just paying the original $42. If u look at the other sellers they're selling it for $42 with free shipping. And that's not bad for those silicone hoses.

Sweet. Yeah let us know. Wondering if there's enough for all the hoses. I've been wanting to do this too. And in blue too! Want to get blue wire loom too. Plan to have all blue accents and make everything clean. It's a rat's nest under there now!:(

I have a thread I am about to start - 'Project Blue Taco'. Many things under that hood will become blue. Plug wires, hoses, manifold, air intake, oil catch can, etc. I imagine an enamel blue upper manifold, all gloss like, with black TACO, one letter on each of the pipes running down to the lower manifold. Basically if I can paint it, it will be blue and black in there.

I haven't installed all of them yet but I did do the large evap one that connects to the intake tube. My initial impression is that they are very good and I'm not too worried about them collapsing, especially in a NA application.

I will try and take some pics to show that the wall diameter is sufficient, I don't have a vacuum puller/gauge though

Just be aware that some times when you find a better deal on Amazon, you're buying it through an unofficial/unapproved vendor and you won't get the manufacturer's warranty with your purchase; just something to be wary of in case something goes wrong with whatever it is you're buying. Not a big deal for some things, but could be for others

That's purdy. Spray some gunk cleaner in there and make engine shine.
