I watch some threads like that, but they get boring after awhile haha. You ever get your ultraguage?

Idk who's watching my build anymore but I got my scanguage installed! And I put in the trans temp x-code I found and it's reading, so it should be trans temp. It's the one labeled TRA in the pic

Haha, nice, no, just grille lights, I may do one tomorrow, but I'm not sure what I want to do, should start my secondary fuse block, just need lexan/polycarbonate. After that, I'll be wiring up bed lights, reverse lights, and under glow and morez

Thats alot of wiring that you have coming up! How are you going to mount the switches up and what grille light do you have going on tomorrow? On top of that how big of a fuse box are you going to need to run?
Used wouldnt be a bad way to go. The second gens seem to have aton more rim options than first since you are a 16" rim.

There's nothing more important then truck mods lol. I think I would like the ultraguage more, for 8 displays instead of 4. But I like what seems to be trans temp. Still trying to make sure that's what it's reading. I went for an extended drive and it went up to 212! Not sure if that's too high or not. It's
Only 15 degreas over engine temp so maybe not. I might be adding a trans cooler soon, we'll see

There seem to be pros and Con's for each system. I have no clue as to telling you how hot they should run but that wouldn't surprise me if they ran that hot. Was it city driving or interstate/highway and does the tranny cooler go in front of the oil cooler right?

No I just have to load that shit. We also have an Ace brand poop in a bag lol. So I just confirmed with 3 different posts from multiple different forums that I am indeed pullin trans temp with the code I found :D

So probably a good average. Now do you route it away from the radiator and straight to the cooler or does it go through both I would think you just route it straight to the tranny cooler

You can do either, but I just read it's better to go straight to the cooler. It mentioned that the internal cooler in the radiator not only actually adds heat to the trans, but if it ever leaks inside it puts antifreeze into the transmission

Yes I often will say that when a customer says for me to grab some haha. And yes. Apparently that about a normal stock temp for having no cooler in warm weather. I mainly want to monitor it while towing cause I know with my g-pa's bass boat behind me I can feel the trans heat the floorboards up. The warning light has never come on, but what if it's not working
