    The large pinion bearing is just nice and the truss helps with structure. I believe the ring is thicker too while yes it is about 8'' just like the e locker..i need to find a photo jason posted of all the ring gears he had. Was cool. Had a 7.5, 8'', and 8.4 in it. the 8.4 was bigger still.

    see if i can find it.

    While there probably isn't a substantial difference in strength..i just like poking fun at you since you swapped diffs :D haha

    well, to me it seems like if an 8" was going to blow in the same situation an 8.4 would go too

    If I could somehow swap my axle for an ARB locker 8.4" I'd do it in a heartbeat.

    Your truck, you can do what you want. Only lockers I ever want to run are selectable ones...

    After driving behind a friend that had just installed a detroit, I'll never get on for something that sees the highway. Just to squirrely.

    You can get used to it, but I don't trust something that turns on when you don't want it.

    any self respecting off roader has a compressor any way, and running an air line is as easy as running a couple wires for lights. literally the benefits to an arb are so great compared to those two minute details it should not even be a second thought. only thing that kept me from one was the cost. and that was even pushing it on an iffy decision

    welp, we used a large scale caliper and they were the same. so the difference could be measurement error:p

    doesent really matter, the locker just has to run at 90psi. so any compressor can pump up to 90 and stop i believe. you can get any size really...
