I went to my Discount Tire store in my area to select my tires for my new set of rims. The salesman talked me into getting the Falken Rocky Mountain ATS tire. He said that they were a good tire.

Anyone have these tires and is this a good choice?

Jeep Wrangler owners seem to love them. Not a lot of people running them on here.

I had them on my old truck. They come with a 50000 mile warranty. I liked them enough that I'm getting a set for my taco when the stockers wear out.

I have a set of 285-70-17's that have been on my Tacoma DCSB for 2 yrs. Have roughly 40k on them. They still have about 45% tread left seriously. I have rotated them alot and maintained the air pressure. But dont back off in wet grass...they wont get you out..lol. They look good for the $$, but def not great traction enabled.

I have a set of 285/70r17's on my tacoma and love them. Great tires and they seem to be holding up well. I have about 14,000 miles on mine and they still look new.

Had a set on the last Tundra. They were great on road, and off road. Seemed to run true to size also, great all around tire.

Great tires in everyway....however they are heavy as hell and especially on stock wheels my gas MPG went down to 15 MPG! Even the light weight wheels such as SCS still the fact they are LT they are heavy unless your doing a good bit off road.

The Falken tires that I installed on my SCS rims are "P" rated, not LT.

If I'm not mistaken, the Falken Rocky Mountain ATS tires has been discontinued by Falken and replaced with the Falken Wild Peak ATS, but discount tire was selling these at a really good price a few weeks back so I bought a set for my GF's F-150 in 305 70 17 sized tires and put them on her Dick Cepek wheels, they look great and she says they ride good, but they are too quiet for her, she likes the tread sound on the road. Haven't taken them off road yet, but they do have a 50,000 mile warranty on them as long as you rotate them every time they say you need to, I think they said every 6,000 to 8,000 miles. I remember them saying that on these tires it was very important to rotate them on time.
