If it makes you feel better, I am pregnant with awesomeness and regularly give birth to "how the hell did you do that?" :D

    Just kidding :(

Heavier calories in the morning lighter calories in the evening. As long as you poop it all out before your race so its not weighing you down (or on your mind....) you should be fine. (assuming its not a MASSIVE excess)

That's assuming you get all of your nutrients in and what not and it's not all pizza or something.

The best food I have found before I go out cycling is pancakes w/oats in the batter and you're choice of toppings. Gives you quick and delayed release sugars. Mine comes out to about 900 calories and I can last easily 3 hours+ of hard riding (hill/flat mix) like it's nothing. :D

Okay, so I did that tabata yesterday and I think my brain is in shock lol. I seriosly haven't done cardio on purpose in probably close to a year. Granted, I have played some backyard football and also swim a lot in the summer, but this was the first time in a while I've actually done HIIT stuff at the gym in around a year. Ever since I finished yesterday, I've had a damn headache! I don't know if it's the pollen in the air (it's just starting to get bad) or if I'm just being a bitch. Anyone ever have post-HIIT headaches?

Damn! I'm gonna chalk it up to allergies. I'm doing this tabata tomorrow after my workout:

Damn! Well, the pollen has been bad here for a few weeks, but it usually never messes with me. The only side effect I'm having is the headache though. Im gonna try to ride it out for a couple more days and see what happens

My cardio elixer is an english muffin topped with almond butter, banana slices, and drizzled with honey. 2 hours prior to event to give it time to digest and not be a rock in my stomach. If Im 30 mins out from something and havent eaten yet I can slam a Clif bar and be good to go.

1.5 miles shouldnt take more than 10-12 mins so you shouldnt worry too much. I do that fasted first thing in the AM twice a week.

    Good advice here ^
