Painting Stock Steel Wheels Tomorrow

    I have the stock steel silver wheels on my truck and im going to paint them tomorrow. Im going to sand them to scuff them up and then i am going to clean them with acetone and let them dry and paint them with seld etching primer and then some wheel paint i bought at Autozone.

    Any tips or Tricks i need to know????

    ah....cool. i go up to bass pro all the time, and have been to a few auto fairs and a few coca cola 600's at lms.

    honestly...and its just my opinion, but i'd paint them to match. use adhesion promoter on them after you wash them and then paint them.....it will holdd up good and look great.

    Deck plate mod, intake silencer removed, AFE Pro Dry S Air Filter, debadged, Goodyear Duratracs 265/75R16. Flowmaster knock-off muffler!
    ur wheels look good man, but i think u should match the caps with the wheels.

    for the people that have black wheels, when u all have ur wheels/tires balanced, do u let them (tire people) put the weights on the outer part of the rim lip, or inside the rim?

    my wheel weights are on the outside wheel lip. im gonna just paint them as i did my wheels, so they dont stand out. should have done it a good while back...been too damn lazy.:D

    Well, I was only able to get 3 of my wheels painted tonight, and now it's too dark to finish... as it is now, I still need to do another coat out in the yard holding a flashlight...


    But overall they look great... I'm sure it'll look good tomorrow driving down the road with 3 black wheels...

    Oh well, pics tomorrow...
