I understand it... I'm proud to be from Oregon... yes it's all luck on where you're from... but you can still be proud of being lucky.

now Texas pride... that I'll never understand... seriously.

I might be a native BUT I've lived in Arizona, Montana and Wisconsin as well. Should be self explanatory why I refuse to leave this beautiful place again :D

That one I do understand. Study history and you will understand Texans state pride. Rightfully so and we could all learn a thing or two about how important the state control is over federal control. It seems too many state's residents are content to allow the federal gov't to grow out of control and continue to usurp all that it sees. I for one support Texas in it's atypical way of joining the union and it's continuing mantra of state first. I wish more people in Colorado felt that way actually.

Considering the state I was born & raised in (Nebraska) is known for a sports team (Huskers) that was once named the Bug Eaters you may not be far off. :p

It really is. My parents just moved back to Fort Collins from Missoula at the beginning of this year and I always loved going to visit them. The scenery is very similar and the people are just as friendly. They just don't get that Colorado sunshine and there isn't much to do besides the outdoorsy stuff.
