Please help me out fellas. Ive been juggling these two lifts for quite awhile now. Ive been reading the pros and cons about both lifts and just cant make up my mind

RCD 4" lift vs. OME 3" dakars, UCAs, etc.

I like the fact that RCD drop brackets lift maintains all the proper alignmets of the factory angles and such but i dont necessarily like that it looses a little bit of ground clearance. But the 4.5' lift looks sexy IMO

I am not a serious offroader...i live in south florida so im not rock crawling or flying across sand dunes. But i do hit the trails, hog hunt, fish, and like to get a little wild and throw mud around quite often. This is also my work truck so the payload is often tested and I need some strength back there.

Help me out here with my poll, I know this topic has been killed but a quick poll never hurt nobody.[IMG]

RCD will only enhance the look of your truck. The OME will enhance the ride and the look.

Im running 255/85/16s. No I wish I did the OME with dakars. I went with the toytec ULK and a AAL, rear rides like crap on the Highway. Does great offroad though.

I disagree brother. I've only read positive reviews from all the RCD guys claiming the ride is incredibly smooth with the Bilstein shocks included. I've had OME medium, Toytec Ultimate and Fabtech 6" Dirtlogic and they all ride very similar but the Fabtech rode the best because there is no preload on the UCA/LCA and 6" has better flex than 3" kits as you lose most of the down travel with the 3" kits.

Somehow many people think DB kits are worse for offroad than 3" kits. Your entire drivetrain has more clearance with a 6 or 4.5" kit. That makes a world of difference with forging water or mud. Plus the ride is way better with DB kits. I've had them both and the DB is the way to go IMO. Even pricing is similar because with the 3" kits, you'll need new UCA's which obviously increase the installation costs.

Why go 4 when you can do 6! Cost about the same anyways
