    Hi Chris.

There are worse ways to spend a day off. ;)

Evening night shifters. My load plans are complete. Now need to kill a few hours and then check weather and adjust plans if necessary. :bored:

Anyone from phoenix or the surronding cities? I might be moving out there for a job in Mesa for the boeing plant around mid-may. Want to see how living is out there? I will be moving out there alone and I wanted to see how much I can expect to pay for an apartment? Any and all info is welcome! Thanks guys!

I haven't lived out there but my Dad lives out in Fountain Hills outside the city. Driving around when I visit it seems like there are good areas to live next to bad areas to live so even in a good part of town you still had to be careful where you lived so you didn't end up in a slummy part. Crime is high as well.

    Mesa was nice however.

I wouldn't say the bad areas are too bad as long as you don't live in the city. Living in Mesa would be sweet.

Treat the summers there like harsh winters in northern states except it's excessively hot instead of cold; don't do much outside and you run between air conditioned buildings.

I'm amazed and humbled by some of the parts I work on. New hires take this stuff for granted and it's like "hook some straps and lift it".

It aint like that. I'm cert in lvl 2 crane training up to 30 ton.
Lots of people don't even check deg/cable.
    surpised there not more incedents.

Made me think of the young Sergeant crew chiefing a C17 engine (24,000 lbs rolling stock) upload one time: the way he set the winch blocks came up with a bad angle that had the cable rubbing one of the tires ... he actually told an airman to go over and hold the cable off the tire. Couple of us old timers were "hold up junior, how about you back it off and set your blocks up right." No concept of what would happen if that cable were to snap, i.e. bad hurt if not cut in half; not to mention equipment/part damage in the millions of dollars. Amazing people don't see the dangers in an industrial environment with huge/heavy equipment and parts.

:notsure: I don't know, seems so obvious to me, yet so many are oblivious. :(

Yea. Alot of obvious stuff is not quite as obvious as it looks. I keep myself "scared" every, single day. You make a mistake here, it's not a scuff or sprain. it's ER time. We had a girl that had her scalp pulled from her skull because she didn't follow rules.
