    Good morning all

Traffic alert for anyone traveling I-5 from San Diego past DelMar , I-5 is shut down at Carmel Valley Rd and routed around to either Del mar heights or the 56/I-5 loop.

Took me 18 minutes to pass thru @ 545AM and will only get worse as the morning progresses

Is it gonna rain anytime soon, I want to ride my dirbike and actually have traction!! Tired of riding a cropduster.

The race last weekend "The National Hare and Hound Championships" were fucking brutal!!

Being a National race things are way more difficult. At the bomb line (dead engine start with over 200 guys lined up bar to bar have to start and then take off after the banner goes down.

I got the holeshot and had to back out for a fraction of a second and got swallowed in a cloud of silt, was racing my brand new Factory Kawasaki KX450f and the suspension is still too stiff for me (I weigh 118 lbs right now!)
Needless to say I got my ass whooped, I had a getoff climbing a hill around some other downed riders, ended up breaking my radiator, took be about 30 minutes to fix it, had to fill it with gatorade and piss!
Got it sealed and went on trying to salvage my results, ended up losing my chain just near the top of the gnarliest hillclimb there, had to coast back down refit the chain and try again, made it.

then after getting pounded for 70 miles they took up through about 15 miles of 3' sand whoops with boulders scattered about. Had just enough energy to ride a wheelie to the finish line!

Finished 6th in my class, 104thOA, totally sucked! Worst race in a long time for me.
Gonna go ride again this weekend, another big National next weekend in the National hare and hound series, this time probably harder and hotter.

I have new radiators coming next week for the KX and getting lighter suspension springs and try again! Hoping for a top 40thOA this time, with no crashes! Fastest guys in the country were there, fun to try and compete with them! I got a couple good passes on 4 pro riders until I broke my radiator and had to stop for repairs.

This weekend since my YZ295 (my original race bike) is still down, and my new racebike (the KX450) has a broken radiator, I will be riding my custom built by me CR500AF conversion!

Thinking about making that my new racebike. But not sure it can make more than 30 miles on a full tank of fuel (2.7 gal) We will see. gonna see what kind or range I can get out of it this weekend..

Here is the winners GoPro footage!

Thanks! I've considered the pre runner too, but not sure if I would regret not getting the 4wd down the road.

if I hdawn it all over again I would definitely go with a 4x4. Yes the cost is more, however It is damn nice to be able to push the little button and crawl on out of just about anything
