Back in January of this year I bought my 14 DCSB 4X4 Tacoma TRD with Etune/Navi/JBL. Well last week it hit 4,800 miles so I dropped it off at my selling dealer for its 1st free 5k service. So today I picked it up from the dealer and when driving home I notice that my phone was no longer connecting to my Etune?

When I got home I paired my phone to my Etune (without issue) and than I looked at the Etune a bit closer and noticed that some of the options in the Etune have changed. There appear to be more options than there used to be, and the voice command seems to work better as well.

Is it possible that they updated something on the Etune system? If so is it normal to have to pair your cell phone again? It is not a big deal as everything is working great, but I am just curious.

BTW for those that are still on the fence in regards to the JBL system I say go for it as it sounds awesome!! I had not planned on getting the JBL, but this truck just happened to have it and now I am glad I got it.

    Cheers

Seems plausible that you got a software update and previous BT pairings weren't preserved. Not biggy as you discovered and you got new features!!
