You guys were making me bored, so I decided to make my map lights turn on with my dome lights when I open the door!

So easy!! You just need a little over a foot of wire a spade connector and a small screw or forget both of those and use solder. Pull out your dome light and the overhead console. Then at the map lights you'll switch the two wires in the connector.

Bend this unused pin up and connect your wire to it. (Ignore the other wires and the resistor, you don't need them.

    IMG_2930_56cffcb2d8fd52693a42597bcd2e33c6972e8c06.jpg

Then fish your wire to the dome light and attached it to the silver metal on the back side. One is silver the other is a bronze. It has a hole so a screw or solder.

If you have leds you'll need to flip them around for the correct polarity. Your lights will turn on when the dome light comes on, but still function by themselves. So your wife can turn just one on while she looks in her purse for her phone or something.

I'm not very good at instructions unless i'm actually showing or walking you through it!

Yeah, only took me about 20 minutes. Give me a call, pm or make a post if you get stuck. I'll be on for quite a while.

I'm holding off until tomorrow i don't have the right stuff to do it. i think i left all of my electrical stuff at my dads house. I'm stoked that i know how to do it now. I've got led under dash and under seat lights that come on when i open the doors and fade with the dome so the map lights will go perfect with everything I've got now

    Playing GTA 1V myself.

On my comp. I purchase a custom korean monitor a while back. its amazing. 27 inch/ 2560x1440 res. You cant even see the pixels its so tight.
Which means you can turn off the AA and all the good stuff and not take a performance hit.

I really want to pick up a BenQ monitor. Same thing with pixels and it has a ridiculous refresh rate which is good for competitive call of duty
