I used to tell my people (and still do the one's who'll listen) "When you think you've got everything covered, keep looking and checking, because something is fixin' to bite you in the ass."

Morning gentlemen, I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend...

Even if you're working, LIKE ME.

As I've said before I hate changing #2 engines on MD11s & DC/MD10s, I would like to use this space to also say I officially hate changing flaps and working f'ing fuel drain shrouds...

I'm glad this night is over! Work is starting to cut into my time normally spent surfing the www.

Chris going from midnights to day shift sucks man. I feel for ya. We rarely get mandatory overtime but, it does happen. Usually it's a holiday (last Christmas) and done in the fairest way possable. At least ours has always been on shift.

Be safe man working while out of you normal clock time is rough on a guy.

Saturday was a big day here. The world's largest, most efficient gas turbine arrived from France.
Shipped, trucked and railed right into the building.
It's name? HArriet. A 9ha gas turbine. I believe Built in France. 900,000 lbs.
Going down in.a bit to see if I can get a glimpse of it.

I believe we are going to do a year long test of it. Lines for gas and electrical from duke energy have been run. Will be run in are state of the art test facility just behind the build I'm.at.

Hopefully they might let us snap a pic.

Headed there in 10 mins or so.

    You off tonight Rob?

Also if you google "HArriet 9FA", a couple YouTube vids will come up. Following the journey of HArriet from savannah, ga. And maybe one from France. Posted a day or 2 ago.
Stupid phone won't let me link the url.

Well. Looks like test stand is about a mile from where I'm at. We walked about 3/4 of the ways into a bunch of construction. Withought knowing precicely where it is, I may never find it.
Found one on a rail car that looks like it maybe. Covered in white shrink wrap with the g.e. logo like the one in the video. Not sure.
Going to try again at lunch, maybe ill grab one of the golf cars and go recon.
