More suspension travel without lift??

Take off the sway bar! Rides smoother and gives very little extra body roll. Try it and you'll be surprised.

 

Some extended travel coilovers set at zero lift, with a pair of uniball upper control arms will do the trick.

 

^^^ He said it! Removing the sway will make the ride a LITTLE bit more compliant, but the shock valving and spring rates don't change Extended travel shocks set to 0 lift with nice upper control arms are the perfect set-up! It'll be butter smooth too!

how much travel do we get stock anyay? my guess is 7-8" but i dont really know

 

not enough to compensate for the weight of the vehicle when gravity pulls it back to the earth from its glorious flight thru the crisp morning air over the sand covered roads my truck lives to conquer.

 

last gen. was 4" up & 4" down.

not too sure bout this one though....the 6 lugs have good susp. travel...its just the springs are pretty stiff up front. i think rear wise there's only like 3.5" travel between the bumpstop and frame.
