Lol I did the week of and knew it was chance of rain. You can't trust the weather prediction in wyoming...you should know that.

Also, do it in my house? Da fuq are you thinking? Lol the garage I could do but I like working outside. Fresh air with a light breeze and some sun feels great :). Besides, I can cut all I want right now but until I order spacers it doesn't matter.

So I got stuck as shit today in bottomless clay mud. Went out to shoot some photos of the run down stuff in the gas hills. Hit a wet area and sunk to the frame... Mind you this is in the middle of fucking nowhere, no cell service for 10 miles in any direction, no ranches or houses for 15 miles and im 3 miles off the main road. I freaked the fuck out. I took a picture with my phone before i started walking for the road and turned it off to save battery before the picture saved... so no record of being stuck till i get back there and take a picture of the rut i left. soooo I walked the three miles out the the asphault and started walking towards riverton, got three miles more on the asphault and thank god a nice guy stopped for me. He wanted to try and get me unstuck so i didnt argue... Ended up being able to get an anchor point to his bumper off of a berm that was dry near by. I barely got out with him pulling and the winch on full blast and all 4 of my tires spinning. Insane day...

I knew at some point Jen would be coming down the road to find me cuz i told here where i was going but damn, i was freaked. and the smitty 10k x20 pulled like a frickn rockstar. Definitely glad i got the 10k and not an 8k. The 10k barely did it...

whatevs, lesson learned. I bet maxtrax would have gotten me out... But then again the mud would have litterally eaten the maxtrax after going over them.

yea bet you would have lost them..plus..if you were at the frame really they wouldn't do anything. all the weight would be on the frame not the tires.

Yea i tried the hilift on a 12x24x4 piece of lumber i found on a fence line and it just pushed it right into the mud, truck didnt move... Was hard to get it under the sliders even cuz the mud was so high.

haha the guy goes, "fuckn a man, I dont think your gettn that out till the hole dries!"

The maxtrax may have helped get you out faster with winching. In snow it basically worked as a ramp to get off my frame. Mud has a suction to it though so it would have been hard regardless.

I'll go back and get a shot of the track i left at some point. And I did take a picture of it but i forgot to close out my camera on my phone before i powered it down to save battery... Believe me or not, I dont care i just had to share the story cuz I think we all need to be reminded every now and then how easy it is to get into a shitty situation, i got lucky and didnt end up hiking 15 miles to the nearest ranch house...
