I really don't mean to come across as impatient or pushy. I was just curious. I completely understand that he has way better things to do than answer hundreds of PMs on radios. Like I said in a previous post, I don't have any problem waiting my turn.

So a question I have about the sat and nav antennas... If you look at the back of the sat module and nav head unit, they have a GT-5 antenna port. but the gps antenna that FLTrucks provides fits just to the left of the 28 pin connector on the nav unit and the sat module has the same looking connector on the far right. Are these units designed to accept their respective antenna with either a GT-5 connector or the other one? The reason I ask is antenna's with the GT-5 connector are easy to find or modify to work. I have never seen the other type until I installed this head unit. Does anyone know its name at least?

If you have 4WD you'll have to buy the new switch as well so it'll be pricier. I picked up a spare 05-11 radio bezel for $50 from a salvage yard. I got it from this place: http://www.autowrecking.com (ask for Dustin if you call).

The other thing about the 2012+ radio bezels is that if you get one from a salvage yard that's for a pre-runner the left side is just smoothed out; there's no delete option like there is on the 05-11 models. When my bezel came it was on a non 4x4 Tacoma because the delete part was installed. I simple had to click it off and I can put my 4x4 switch right onto it. Trust me I was nervous hitting the plastic piece with a dremel but since I have a spare now it wasn't as bad. The "parts" thread referenced a page back has a pic of exactly how much to trim. Doesn't have to be perfectly smooth as the radio plate will be covering it anyways.

Steve's thread with the info on how much to trim:
    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/au...igation-retrofit-diy-w-info-part-numbers.html

    Hope this helps!

The same shit everyone else has.

Trimming a 05-11 bezel was a way better option than sourcing a new one + a new 4wd switch.

Hey FLTrucks, will you put me on the list for one of these? Also, does anyone know the part number for the unit itself?

Has anyone considered if this would work in a 1st gen at all? I'm kind of curious myself. $400+/- for an in-dash w/ navi is a slick deal.

Does this HU connect via the CANBUS system? I saw a few people mention VIN no. problems.

Yes, but there is more than one connection, there are several. Has anyone completed a write-up on where all of the satelite expansion module connections go??

The model that was sold to you was a Canadian model. Canadian models do not except some of the Entune features I believe. Not sure why though.

Price is 535$ if getting both.

No nothing new on updates yet. I hear there may be a new update coming soon if not then by 2016.

I am unsure the cables you speak of but I will post a picture of the cables I provide. The black connection on the XM module is your SAT antenna that if equipped with plugs there, if you have the normal square connection I have an adapter plug for it. The other 3 plugs are basically jumped from the unit and then plugged in the back of the radio.

I just went to the dealership tonight and got a 2014 Tacoma 4cyl manual 4x4 with only the convenience package but paid to have the dealership install a backup camera in the truck before they deliver it by this upcoming Wednesday. anyways I wanted to know if the nav units that you are selling here would work with my truck and the dealer installed backup camera or does the radio have to be programmed to accept the backup camera signal?

You need to make sure it is the OEM camera and not an aftermarket one. So YES, if it is the Toyota OEM one it should

If I have a 2014 Nav unit from you, how do I get a map update in 2016?
