I plan on adding a second tank from an early Toyota truck 1990~, they were mounted on the passenger instead of the driver side. Not sure if it would be CARB legal but it is a stock tank from a Toyota truck, same as the current one just on the other side of the drive shaft. They came with a capacity of up to 19 gallons and that would give me 36 gal total. Low CG, and weight balance! Just have to re-route the exhaust!

Don't have to give up the spare tire location or bed space!

I don't know of anyone that has done this but I don't see any reason why it would not work.

you need to keep the stock fuel filler neck, charcoal evap canister and return lines the same.

It's legal with all that in place. The stock filler neck and stock gas cap are key to passing

I wouldn't worry about it, you can open them up a bit after you weld, unless you do it with king cans, haha

I dont, I place something inbetween the two pinch bolts slightly larger and weld it up and perfect fit after for the bumps.

can anyone point me in a good direction for weld on axle bumpstop pads? id like to find some that cover the u bolts, because the bumps are hitting the innermost (to center of axle) on articulation and grazing on just straight bump.
    its a ford 9" btw

Sdhq has some strike pads that weld onto the axle.
