So far I really like the pup she has but apparently German Shepherds have a hard time getting over separation anxiety.

 

Mine took only a few days when I got her home

And I have 7 years as a military K-9 handler to back it up. Sorry guys, but how you rise a dog has absolutely nothing to do with the outcome of instincts.

 

While Pit Bulls are not the only dog which bites people; what they do is different. Most dogs will bite out of fear and then retreat. Aggressive breeds bite and then maul. They don't retreat, and this is why so many small children are killed by them every year.

I see ignorant people all the time say yapper dogs are more aggressive. This is not the case, as it's all show with little to back it up. If a 10lb dog does bite the damage is insignificant. If a pit bull or German Shepard bites the results are usually catastrophic.

 

Im not cooping the dog up.. my parents house is 2800 sq ft on .75 acres and I plan on buying a decent sized house once I move.

Anyways here is a min pin pup up for adoption that I inquired about.

 

Make sure that little bastard is 100% potty trained before you get it. They are a FUCKING nightmare to potty train. Many take 2-3 years before they quit shitting in your house!

Well my second one took closer to 10-12 but thats because she was a year and a half (approximately) when we adopted her

 

Sounds like you got lucky. I know several people who have had massive problems with this. My wife had a Dachshund and after a year of that thing shitting and pissing everywhere I told her if the dog wasn't gone in a week, that I would make it gone… She found it a home the next day.
