Red tailed boas are by far one of my favorite looking snakes.. If they didn't get so big I would have one in a heartbeat.. Maybe one day when i have more room

    To each his own.

On pets I'm a little odd I guess, if it's not friendly & furry I can't "relate" to it as a pet. Guess I'm a dog guy.

    What does "reticulated" mean?

Mainly just dogs when I was younger, and cats. Still have 2 cats, had 3 till a couple passed away.

I've had a pet rat, hamster, rabbit, parakeet.

I know I'll get shit for it here but I am deathly afraid of snakes. Never had any experience or anything, just always been terrified of em.

I've got Indian star tortoises, Burmese black tortoises, leopard tortoise, albino boa and a beardie. I was really big into tegus and monitors but it's hard to keep those with as busy as I am

You seem to like reptiles :p

My brothers desert monitor decided to eat its tail (just the tip :D) any idea why? He is far from starved.

I raised and released the coons we had three until they were full grown it was awesome. I'd keep one permanently if I could I had an airborne virus that took out all of monitors and tegus. Right now I've got a boa a beardie and all of my tortoises and my dog lol

Canbreaks are nice looking snakes. My copperheads are nuts they musk a lot. I have some banded rock rattlesnakes that are really cool looking.

Mine was actually quite docile just didn't like snake tongs. It did better being hand held. The canebrake was insane though

Awhile back I had a Blue Fronted Amazon parrot. He/She looked like this guy (my pictures aren't anywhere as good as this one)
    parot.jpg

Unless you have the bird sexed it's next to impossible to say what their sex is. I called him a boy, but I really didn't know. The bird was crazy smart. For example he would only say "good morning" before breakfast. After that he said different things depending on his mood. Then at twilight he'd start saying "good night" until you put the cover over his cage. You could tell who taught him to say something because he sounded just like them.

    BUT

He was a complete pain the the ass when it came to a pet. If the mood struck him he could screech so loud the wall paper would come off the walls. There was next to nothing that would get him to STFU. And do you see that beak? Yes that SOB could and would bite you for no reason. We are talking break the skin kind of biting. Did you know that birds poop? Did you know that big birds poop big poops? Yup, they do do-do when ever they fill the need. Oh, and best of all when he flaps his wings in the cage seed shells, and feather dust, and down, and bedding, and those beautiful feathers that are a sight to behold are blown in every nook and cranny of your house. Let's not even get started on what happens when he takes a bath in his water dish.

I loved that bird, but I WILL NEVER have one again.
