Did you end up Line-Xing it Peter? Did you just have them tape off the spindle, latch, and mounting holes?

    Looks great...

Looks amazing. Did you take the flares off for cutting and what'd you use to do the cut ?

    Thanks!

No I used stuff called Rock-It liner. I sprayed it myself it was pretty easy to do. All the work was in the prep. If I could redo it I would have used their primer. It is a two part and it would have helped the liner stick better. I haven't had an issue yet, but I am worried it won't be as strong as it should be with the rustolium

Thanks dude! I didn't take my flares off, but I don't have wheel liners, and already have 2"cut out of my fenders. I would highly recommend pulling them off if you have full fenders.

    Thanks!

I removed my rear bumper and hitch and in total pulled 100lbs off my truck. The bumper is with the gate is around 200 lbs. So I didn't think I would notice much of a difference. It has only been a day, but the truck definitely feels heavier in breaking. I am curious to see if I still feel that way after a couple weeks of driving.

Yeah made a rough cut like an inch below where I thought I was going to need to cut. Ended up only cutting a hair above that. I painted and silicone the cut to help avoid rust.

Hey man if you want me to chat about it at all let me know. I can probably give you some tips that would stream line the process. It wasn't scary cutting the rough cut, but once it was time to make the very last cut, the one that was going to make or break the look of the truck I was nervous. I did the rough cut, but I had a friend who was helping me make the cut. He has a lot more hours on an angle grinder than I do.

Thanks man! Hopefully you can make it out to a meet and greet soon!

I'm sure I'll have some questions, although I'm lucky we have at least 5 guys locally that have HC rears. Was there for one of the chop sessions...made me want to cancel my order :eek::eek:

Not for the faint of heart! It is a major mod if you haven't had to cut off any metal yet... I on the other hand have chopped pieces from every panel so it was no sweat. I was just worried about making sure it looked good!

Friend of mine is going to help me come up with something. Then we are going to produce it and sell it for everyone with Tire Gate camera problems.
