ffirg, did you shim the axle at all? This a lot of driveline angle otherwise. My RTT really doesn't settle my trucks rear much at all with just the Dakars. Don't expect too much with the extra leaf installed.

My RTT setup weighs about the same as just my fiberglass cap did, maybe less.

No shims for me. I have very slight vibes from 40-50mph but that's it. It got better after putting the shackles in. I may drop the carrier bearing a little to see if it stops the small vibes I do have. We will see. I'm going to have to relocate the axle back a little bit when I get new tires now though.

    Thanks!

I do have a shell on the back. Just have to wait now until the leafs come in...later on this month

Question for those running OME rear leafs.... Has anyone changed out the front bushing that comes molded into the eyelet ?

I want to install a poly bushing there before I install my leafs, but I'm wondering if that eyelet will accept a poly bushing.

Stuff and things that make it better.
I was wondering this a little while ago also, that bonded rubber bushing tends to seize up in the eye after long use.

    Anyone...

Per boxrocket from his build page, question was posed there also :)

I used the bushing that were pressed into the main eyes. Actually if you look back a bit through this thread you will see that I recently replaced them. I used the pressed in Toyota Bushings again. There is a little noise but hardly noticeable.

You could easily swap them out for polys if you wanted, just need a press since those other bushings are sleeved. If you don't have a press you can burn out the rubber and use a sawzall to cut the sleeve.

Gonna throw this out there. I have the extra leaf for the Dakars, should I install it with the kit or wait so it can settle a little. I don't want to much rake.
