    i was one click away from running out of hi lift, and the tires were still on the ground (one or two more click and they did begin to lift)

    when I redo the creepers i should end up with the shackles being more vertical at full droop, thus a bit more droop out of the rear end

    The placement of his shackle hangers. They are too far forward giving him a flat shackle angle at ride height and not reaching the droop it's supposed to with the weight off the rear. With no weight on the rear, the shackles should be close to 90*

    None of that tells me what is limiting travel. Shackles rotate freely, regardless or forward/reverse mounting location. They are just a pivot. They don't prevent travel in any direction. If they do...it's because they are hitting something else. Assuming the leafs can handle it, a more-forward shackle position will allow for more droop, not less, as it allows the leafs to arch more.

    I apologize if my thinking is incorrect here, remember I am the retard who cant seem to weld them on correctly the first couple tries :rolleyes:

    but it looks like the springs are at max arch, the eyes cant get any closer together, but the shackle still has some distance to go before it reaches 90 (straight up and down)

    so by moving it back and letting it get as close to the bottom of the arc as possible is will let the rear come down a bit more (not quite 90 but close)

    but the biggest issue is that its too flat at ride height

    So glad to get rid of the annoying MagnaFlow drone. It is nice and quiet now just like this old man likes it.

    That's what I was looking for, thanks. Unsprung inertia will allow it to droop out some more while you're actually moving, but I see what you're talking about now. I didn't see a ride-height pic so not sure how flat your shackles are. Keep in mind spring rate is also adjusted as you move that pivot around. The farther back you move the pivot, the lighter the spring rate gets.

    You should be more worried about how little up travel you have with the 12'' shocks and how they are mounted.

    ill post pictures after i fix it, so i dont get made fun of lol.

    that part in bold is what i failed to take into account when I was figuring this out the first time. I just moved it and said it looked good, not taking into account how the weight of the bed and the effect bumps had on it at different locations. as i said, live and learn.

    oh no, thats the reason im cutting them and moving them, the lack of up travel. but i figured the droop is a nice excuse too :rolleyes:
