    Hey Ya'll-

New Tacoma Owner, and new member to TW. I have found a lot of useful information here so far and I am looking forward to more.

Searched the forums on this topic and didn't find anything. Hope I am not committing a new member Faux Pas here.

Anyway, I have one of those in-dash slide out cup holders, (just above the a/c controls) and whatever holds it from sliding all the way out is broken. I can pull the thing all the way out. It works alright driving on the highway, but when I'm on the dirt it eventually rattles out and my shit goes everywhere.

Thoughts on fixes, part number, or places to find a replacement?

    Thanks.

    Here's a stupid question.

Can you just get a 98-00 center dash trim and swap it out?

Just swap over your climate control face plate and knobs. That way you get rid of those ridiculous pull out cup holders.

    Depends really.

Some 95-97s came with one on the side of the shifter trim.

Even still... upgrading to an 01-04 center console assembly is the greatest mod I've ever did

Yeah, storing anything but a cup.

Yea - I could do that but with my current 60/40 bench configuration that would leave me only with the (equally ridiculous) tv tray/picnic fold out cup holders by the rear seat. I'd have to swap to buckets with a center console.

Ah, well e-bay turns up a few hits, might go that route, but I might just buy an aftermarket cup holder and attach it to the shifter console.
