    First I would like to point out I am fine with waiting and I understand you are doing your best to get kits ready AND with a quality that you and the rest of us will be happy with. I think we can all accept you a re a one or two man show and that you have to deal with getting supplies etc.

    NOW I would like to say for you to say no one reads the first four lines is a bit misleading and perhaps is whining to an extent.

    You do say in those four lines
    -that you did not want a list, but a list exists,
    - that forum just kinda took over
    - and that you would use the list as at your discretion,
    but you also reference don't add you're name to the list that you also acknowledge until reading those lines. I think that everyone understands that.

    I would also like to point out that this whole thread is titled as a group buy. I'm not sure how you expected to accomplish a group buy with out being notified in some way from those interested so whether you wanted a list or not isn't really relevant as you clearly WANTED those interested to express that interested and you clearly WANTED to sell kits.

    I can understand your frustration as a one man show and also getting supplies etc. most group buys I know require payment or deposit etc. that would help reduce what you shuck out of pocket, NOW that won't fix your available time issue but it is what it is. I just don't think it's fair to list a thread as a group buy and then complain about the forum taking over and creating a list, again you have incredible interest in your product so I can understand people wanting to know what the status is etc. short of having a list which at least lets you know how much interest is out there so you have an idea how many kits to make then I guess you could just post available kits each time and then let them go first come first served.

    A bit of a rant but just my 2 cents.

    Now go make those kits :fenforcer::)

    They do look great its no wonder the list is so long. I'd rather wait for a proven product where Beerad has done the leg work on the quality etc. than try and cobble one together with mixed results myself. I have enough other projects of my own in the works.

    Guess the price will go up. LOL

    Mike, let me start by apologizing to you and anyone that was aimed for. Sorry!
    I know that was a little immature and I think I started to get a little cocky because of the high number on the list. A lot of it has to do with the typical frustration when someone doesn't repost the list right but who am I to be condescending over that. Thank you for being so truthful.
    My original intent of this thread was to keep others informed at every opportunity new kits are available. Seeing a list the last time a little group buy was put together put a lot of stress on me and I was hoping to rid myself of that problem by doing it this way. Since a list started anyway I figured "well, i don't have to follow it, i don't even have to worry about it" BUT it has been helpful with deciding how many supplies to get.
    Since the list is there I am going to make use of it but my original post pretty much said that there is no list and I don't want one before I edited it.
    Despite all of that I shouldn't be saying the things I said earlier and thanks again for pointing that out.
    I just recently earned the Vendor tab which I am thrilled over but this also means a certain level of professionalism is expected on my part. I hope to do this and still be able to show my quirky self throughout the threads.

    Thank you once again for your support and interest, I am really excited to see this taking off and in a few days time we will have the ball rolling on this.

    As for anyone else who adds their name to the list thank you for doing so as it helps me with numbers but be forewarned I won't be maintaining it so it is your responsibility to add your name correctly. Thank you :)

    No worries, I did a group buy on an audio forum once so I understand in trying to keep it simple, but as I read the whole first post I just over looked it with excitement, and just wanted to put up a post that I want in..

    No worries on my part. I can certainly understand your point of view as well which I stated. The " list" does have a life of its own and if someone doesn't get there name on the list correctly or someone else incorrectly reports it could cause someone to be left out and perhaps lay blame on you. Im a new here but have posted on other forums so I even cleaned the list up once or twice to help.

    Now that you're a vendor might help to just put together a small online store. Lots of software out there with simple versions. Better in your case to track orders within something you control versus the forum. Even if you just send paypal invoices for deposits you will have an accurate account of who is in for real and not.

    In any case just let me know when you need payment deposit or what not for a kit and I'll send it. Maybe the list adds to your frustration but getting in some deposits might clear a few things up. Especially for the non pro kits that require less work on your end.
