First Truck

I've been looking at trucks for a while and have settled on a Tacoma. I found a low mileage 2007 double cab 4X4 with the Sport Option. I'm supposed to fly in, complete the deal, and drive it 500 miles home week after next. I'm fairly pleased with my choice.

The truck only has 15K miles. Carfax is clean and it appears to be a no issue truck. I'm thinking there isn't much that could be wrong in only 15K miles that wouldn't be obvious. Is there anything in particular anyone would recommend carefully checking out before I pull the trigger and drive it home?

Welcome... Not too much that typically goes wrong with a new Tacoma mechanically, but you'll wanna keep an eye on the quality of the paint. Known to be a bit "thin" sometimes.

Thanks for the heads up. Does potentially thin paint become a problem if you don't take care of it (clean, wax, etc) or can you actually rub the clearcoat off by cleaning, waxing, etc too much?
