Thanks fellas! I'm pretty excited to get started on it. 63's will probably be one of the first mods. I'll post further plans in my thread so I don't highjack (even though it's a first gen, just not a tacoma )

 

The rubbing with 10.50s is minor. Some well placed spinning cut off wheels will fix it. I rub on on the front bumper, flare and pinch seam along with the front and top of the rear flare.

 

Truck looks good Jeff. We gotta wheel together again soon.

Wheeling is a hobby, and if you do it right, it costs lots of MONEY (but don't tell the wife)

 

Ive been emailing with king trying to get 10" rear shocks that attach to the stock mounts. this is what he told me:
"King informed me that your Tacoma uses larger bolts than 5/8 bearing allows and to make it a direct bolt in would require custom top caps and rod ends.

The margin should be small enough that you should be able to run a 5/8” bolt and make it work."

So does this mean it will work? or it won't work? or?

 

What method do y'all guys use when rotating tires

 

Cross rotation. Especially since the Tacoma weight balance is so fubar. It should help to keep the wear as even as possible.

tent is back on the truck in preparation for Moab next week. Truck has new 2nd gen badges. Now just need to figure out how to get the rest of the crap ready for Moab after working 16 hour days between now and then.

 

Lol that's the ledge that during the last Moab trip a guy got wedged in his taco and before we could get a strap to pull him off, he kicked in the supercharger, flew backwards and got huge air, came down hard and blew out both cvs, his diff, and pushed a shock mount through the fender.
