After 5 years of ownership I have no mod regrets.

All suspension and drive train are completely stock. Only major mods are added sliders, utility roof rack, camper shell.

I did not waste any money buying shit I did not need. I do regret going through Death Valley without mudflaps on in certain places, paint took a beating, but that's okay, nothing lasts forever. There were a few minor mods that were annoying when I didn't get them right the first time, because nothing sucks like having to do things twice. Do it right the first time!

Wallet weight reduction mod kinda sucks... Some of you guys have too many awesome ideas :p

In all honesty, only thing I regret is getting husky liners instead of the weathertechs.

I regret nothing, i did all my research the first time and bought foxes all around to start with, so i wouldn't want to touch suspension anymore, retrofitted(best mod ever IMO), and I'm ordering plate bumpers to deal with asshole drivers and deer.

Do your research the first time and you'll save a shit ton of money.

Had a local so-called expert install a so-called top of the line system. 6.5" German Maestro's in the front w/1.2" tweeters, JL Audio 10" sub in a sealed enclosure, Hertz 750 watt amp. System is QUIET. Sounds great in the cab, but I want my neighbors to hear me coming. Not gonna happen.

Ranch Topper, Bull Bar.....Yes, I know everyone thinks they are crap, I like the look
I've always prefered stock......always felt the manufacturer built things with the longest trouble free designs in mind. They don't always get it right but they try. With that said, I was considering a lift but after reading this entire thread, I'll stay stock.

You have an access cab. If you want some real bass for a decent price I'd hit up http://www.soundqubed.com

The HC2 and HC3 woofers are insane and their amps are pretty damn good too. This will piss of every neighbor you got for sure.

Reading that a lot of people will stay stock simply because of this thread is disappointing. The purpose of this thread is research. If you want to mod, research both good and bad outcomes. There are tons of people who love what they've done...this thread is help not make mistakes while doing a mod.

Some of us learned it a long time ago, way before the internet even. Just kind of entertaining to read though.

Leveling the truck. I carry passengers in my DC, and with the front lifted up, it's hard for my 80 yr. old Mother-in-law to get in. I'm considering a TundraRacing.com drop kit, to help with in and out access.

Lifting it. Honestly. Too much stress on the other things. When I replace one thing others start wearing. And by the time I get everything replaced the original replacement is failing again.

There are a lot of mods out there that people think are going to be worth every penny, buy it and then realize how crappy it is until they've wasted money on it.

For example, Throttle Body Spacers. Seen loads of people buy them, then take them off a week later because it does nothing for their trucks unless you like the whistle sound. Lesson learned by loosing cash.

That was before the 6in actually. Before 6in I started replacing tie rods , struts etc. With a 3in. Now with 6in replacing tie rods, uca, lca, ball joints etc
