if it's 100% running and comes with batteries and a charger, that's not a bad deal. it's a small truck though. remember the little one i brought to your place to run around the warehouse? smae one i had at shiloh ridge. for refference, that one is the same size as the 1/10 scale in this picture. the one you are looking at is the small 1/18. it would be fun for playing around across the street from your apartment, but to get something that you can bring wheeling and have fun with, you'll want bigger.
it also has a brushed motor, so it won't be incredibly fast compared to the ones you've seen me drive.

So if I wanted a reasonably priced ready to run setup what would I look for. Needs to be an all around setup. .

 

First thing to decide is the style. You want all around, which essentially means 4wd, and 1/8 or 1/10 scale. Your main options are going to be short course, buggy, stadium/truggy, and monster truck. Google those and see what style you like the best. For your purposes, the first three will be very similar from a functional standpoint, and the monster truck will be a different animal.

 

If you don't think you'll ever go to the race track, a monster ruck may be your beat bet. Look at them all though.

 

Yeah, I'll probably never make it to the track so the monster truck sounds like a good solution. I want something to take on trail runs and run around and bash.

 

the wraith that Blake is talking about is a very fun truck, however, it will not get the speeds and air time that a monster (or the others i mentioned) can get. If you want a scale look, the wraith is the way to go. sounds like you want to go fast, jump over things, and haul ass around the trails. You have a budget in mind? the e-maxx and e-revo are pretty incredible trucks. can be little pricey depending on the version of each that you choose, but it's ahrd to bead them.

 

Going to swing by Remote Control Hobbies West on the way home today. This may be dangerous.

 

That's a good shop. some great guys there. Ask for Josh. he's he's the one with the gimp arm. tell him you know me and he'll spend an hour just going over things and teaching you about the different stuff.

I'm picking up a slightly used one that has some extra goodies included. I'll get some pictures up tonight if I end up getting it.

 

It's playing at normal speed. it's a pretty quick boat, but I think the wide angle go pro sitting so close to the water makes it seem faster. here's another one from the same vantage point. played around with the airboat in the middle of the video, but it was way too windy to do much with it.
